City to Offer Free Teen Defensive Driving to Prevent Accidents

The summer is the most dangerous time for teens to be driving – so much so that the days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are frequently called the 100 Deadliest Days for teen drivers. Teaching your teens how to be safe drivers starts with the parents, but other forms of education are also good tools, and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Outreach Section is offering free classes for your teens and young adult children to learn defensive driving. The classes are designed to help teenagers be aware of the dangers that they face on the road, as well as how to make good driving decisions, how to avoid distraction (a major player in teen car accidents) and how to reduce injuries and crashes.
