Are There Laws Against Distracted Driving in Georgia?

As public awareness of the dangers of distracted driving, especially texting while driving, continues to grow, many states have instituted distracted driving laws and regulations. Additionally, federal trucking regulations now prohibit truck drivers from texting or using a cell phone behind the wheel, except hands-free systems.
